The government has not only limited the possibilities of Latinos to achieve a higher education but has also made it difficult for Latinos to escalate at a at a higher pace towards their dream career. Meier and Joseph Stewart, the authors claim, ââ¬Å"If Hispanics are denied equal access to education and, as a result, receive less formal education or receive education of inferior quality, then discrimination in other areas is much easier. Without education, a person may not be hired because she or he is not qualified. Without a job, inadequacies in income, housing, health care, and countless other amenities of life are exacerbatedâ⬠(2). Meaning, if a Latino is restricted to an equal education as other ethnic groups, it can be the cause of multiple other complications. For example, Bilingual education was removed by No Child Left Behind and that affects Latinos since a high percentage are English learners. Without a proper education, Latinos will have a hard time accomplishing their goals; therefore, it can lead up to having disadvantages with obtaining a proper job, and can end with having difficulties earning enough income to support oneself and oneââ¬â¢s family.
